Boilerplate

OpenKarta is a public, MIT-licensed protocol that lets autonomous agents transact with merchants over a uniform 8-verb HTTP API. The wire format is closed-enum, every quote is HMAC-signed, and the registry rejects paid placement by charter.

OpenKarta routes data, not money. Settlement and tax compliance stay with the merchant. The protocol is currently at v0.1 with 8 verbs, 5 item types, three reference agents, and a daily-verified conformance suite.
